Smartphone Blindness

It is a phenomenon which affects vision. Its actual name is Transient Smartphone Blindness in doctors language. In this situation there is blurred or no vision in the centre of you field. It does not causes total blindness. In this there is a problem in reading or face recognise.

Reason

There is only one reason of smartphone blindness. The reason is blue light of your smartphone, TV screen or computer etc.

We know that our eye is very sensitive organ of our body which can be easily damaged through a light. In our eye most imp. Part is Retina which consists various sensitive nerves. Our retina transmit the signal of vision from eye to brain, and also adjust the vision from light to dark or dark to light.

Normally retina is protected by cornea and lens in our eyes. But after violet, blue light have very short wavelength. That is the reason through which it can be reached to your retina and slowly slowly start damaging your eyes. In dark it is more harmful and powerful in comparison to presence of other light.

If it is not cure or protected on time then it may results macular degeneration means permanent vision loss. It also disturb our sleep-wake routine. In presence of blue light, a hormone name melatonin which control sleep cycle also affects which ruin our healthy life and disturb our routine.

Precautions

1. Try to use your smartphone or other screen in presence of other lights, because in dark blue light is more harmful than in presence of another light.

2. Use Blue Filter Apps in your smartphone. These apps can change the colour of your screen from blue to red or orange which is not much harmful for our eyes.

3. Keep a distance in between your eyes and screen. You have to make a distance of 10-15 inch from your smartphone. In this condition blue cant reached to your retina.

4. Take a break of 20 sec. In every 20min. of your work. Give your eyes proper rest. In 20 sec. You can rub or close your eyes.
